We will be getting married at Jennette’s Pier, located at MP 16.5 in Nags Head, NC.
Ceremony
We will be taking our vows on the beach next to Jennette’s Pier at 5pm. The easiest way to find us is to just come to pier and look for the signs.
Attire
A few people have asked us what to wear to a wedding on the sand. The simplest answer is to pick something you’d wear to a wedding inside, make sure it keeps you cool enough, and then lose the shoes. Call it ‘beach-casual’.
The H-word
“What if there’s bad weather,” you might ask. “Here’s what we’ll do,” we would say. If there’s heavy rain, we’ll move the whole shebang upstairs into the pier house. If there’s more than just rain (like a hurricane), we’ll have to decide whether we’re postponing or moving. We’ll let you know as soon as we do, so please let us know how to get in contact with you. Of course, if it’s less than rain we’ll proceed as planned, although we may try to wait it out.
Reception
Right after the ceremony, cocktail hour will begin up on the second floor of the pier house. Try out a champagne cocktail or have an hors d’oeuvre or two. After Amanda has had time to slip into her new last name, we’ll join you and have dinner and cake. Eat and drink plenty, but remember we want to see you out on the dance floor. Yes, you!
